Reika uses English with her daddy lately. Short sentences like,
Daddy, where are you? Daddy, come here!
And of course she displays her terrible twos even in English.
”Shall we change your diaper
Why?
No, Thank you”
Since she copies the tone that we use to her when she is naughty, it sounds inappropriate most of the time. So we have been teaching her how to say "No, Thank you." when she doesn't like our proposal. And sometimes when we ask her why, she shrugs her shoulders and says "I don't know..". I am very curious how and where she picked up those words.
There are occasions when she uses English to her mommy.
「R-E-I-K-A, DOIT !!
When she asks for something in Japanese and can't get it, she uses English to ask again. I don't know where she gets this from, but she looks into my eyes and slowly and firmly says "R-E-I-K-A, DO IT!".
I like it when she tries hard and is creative in getting what she wants, and I hope it develops her communication skills BUT still can't give her my high heals.
